100% Vision Centering

Flexibility is, first and foremost, the ability to place a wide range of components. Vision centering has been proven to be the only method capable of handling the full compliment of surface mount devices available in the industry.  

 

Each placement head moves in a straight line between the feeder bank and the board, passing directly over its camera. A picture is taken "on the fly" without slowing down the head. Since the components are not precisely located in their tape or tray pockets, the vision system determines their exact locations on the tool tips.

 

Strobe backlighting produces a sharp black on white image regardless of lead plating, body shape, or color. Components are centered via their leads - not their bodies - resulting in superior placement accuracy.
